Teaching Experience:
What types of courses & students have you taught? What do you enjoy about teaching?
I taught Parties and Elections. I served as a Graduate Student Mentor in my department where we planned lessons on how to be Graduate Student Instructors. I also taught a Preparation Course for the Michigan In Washington program. I really like to make teaching interactive! Lectures can get tiresome, so asking the students to actively learn is something I strive to do in all my classes.
Career/Research/Other Interests:
What do you want to do when you grow up? What professional or personal/social things do you enjoy?
I want to be a professor! In my free time I love to read books that are not about Political Science. I also enjoy shopping and cooking.
Interest in the OLC:
What intrigued you about working on the OLC? Why have you signed up to develop DDLGs?
I was intrigued by the OLC project because I thought it was an amazing way to introduce students to data and concepts. I hope that the students and instructors who use the guides will find them useful and lead to more interest in the topics.
